God used Jayson and his staff in a life changing way. They lovingly assisted me in submitting my addictions to Christ. Today as I continue to develop self-control in my recovery I am able to recognize and accept what I used to be. The amount of anxiety that I experience has been drastically reduced which allows me to be real with people. The God-given freedom that I now live in gives me a strong confidence in who I am today and who I want to become in Christ.

Jayson's Bio

Rev. Jayson Graves, M.MFT, husband of Susan and father of Selah Rae & Asabella, is an Ordained Minister and Christian Psychotherapist specializing in sexual addictions recovery and unwanted attractions. He enjoys helping his clients from both a clinical and personal frame as a person in recovery himself.

While receiving his Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University, the bulk of his experience has come from working with youth, in community mental health and men’s ministry. Since then, Jayson has enjoyed working with couples, individuals, young adults and teens in private practice. His passion is to see people set free from sexual addictions, unwanted attractions and other relational struggles through forgiveness, reconciliation, accountability, faith and purity.

Jayson is the founder and director of international counseling ministry Healing for the Soul, providing therapy and groups…all over the telephone, including his first original idea: Teleconference Recovery Groups for men, for wives and for teens in recovery worldwide. He’s also served as the National Program Director & Speaker for New Life Ministry’s “Every Man’s Battle” seminars, Speaker for Focus on the Family conferences and Host of both “The Blazing Grace Show” radio program and SkyAngel Network’s “PurePassion” TV program.

Jayson's Therapy Style

“After being trained in Family Systems Theory, I take the approach of assessing the client’s whole life—body, mind & spirit (I Thessalonians 5:23)—including present beliefs, behaviors, and circumstances as well as past history/trauma and family-of-origin background. After the assessment phase, I help you as my client understand the roots of your struggle and present a clear, concrete treatment plan recommendation that’s as custom-tailored to your particular circumstances as possible. I focus on listening, asking questions that invoke your own sense of direction, and giving challenging, direct yet gentle and respectful feedback as you take steps to change direction. Prayer during sessions is available and encouraged according to your preference.” – Jayson Graves
